We are loving the fall weather we have had the past few weeks! We still have a few warm days but it feels so good to be outside in the evenings! So, a few weekends ago I was ready to get all our fall decorations out! I just love fall and everything about it...the smell, cool air, pumpkins, mums, football, chilli and the list could go on and on! This past weekend Craig got some flowers for our front porch and Gracie "helped" him plant and water them. She also wanted flowers for her playset and picked them out herself at Lowe's on there Sat. morning trip. I didn't get a picture of those but they are purple!:) Next up is to get pumpkins for the front porch and the fireplace. We hope to do that on Sunday! I have also been wanting to make homemade applesauce with Gracie since last year. I use to do this with my kids when I taught school every year and it was always fun! It also smells delicious and smells up the whole house! So, since Craig was off on Monday and could help with Lillie, G and I made applesauce! She had fun and enjoyed eating it at supper. It takes about 8 hours and she kept wanting to check on it throughout the day. You pour all the ingredients in, stir and let it simmer in the crockpot on low all day! Yummy!! Here are a few pictures I got of my little helper in the kitchen!
The apples ready to be cut and peeled (by me of course...not G:))
Ready for the ingredients!
