Love is in the air!

It has been a fun month for us around here! Of course my sweet Gracie loves a holiday or party and Valentine's day is no exception! We started these little mailboxes last year where each person in the family has one! Starting on Feb. 1st leading up to the 14th we each put little love notes or treats in them! (really Gracie and I do it!:)) Gracie loves this and gets so excited every morning to check her mailbox! I did pretty good and remembered every day except when Gingy and Poppop came to visit! G was a little upset but Poppop tried to help me out and stuck some candy in G's and a paci in L's!:) It has been really sweet to see G work hard putting little notes in each one! Sometimes I wouldn't even know she wrote something and put it inside! She wrote several to Lillie that I didn't even know about and they would say I love you Lillie! I saved alot of them! I should have taken pictures! She has gotten so good at drawing and writing things out! I also stuck a few "happies" in there like sweethearts or chocolate! She loved it!
I took this picture the night before V-day! I was blow drying G's hair and daddy was having fun reading with Lillie!
On Valentine's Day the girls woke up to their little Valentine goodies from us! They had already been very spoiled or very loved earlier in the week! I like to think very loved!:) Nana and Papa had already sent the girls some goodies and Gingy and Poppop brought the girls goodies when they came to visit!
G excited about her goodies!
Lillie has started to really enjoy opening presents and gets so excited about them! She dug right into her goodies!
Gracie has been wanting floss since doing dental week at school so I thought there couldn't be a better time to give it to her than on a candy filled holiday!:) Btw, she flosses every day and really wants to do it twice a day!
Having fun with all her goodies!
Gracie had her V-day party at school on Valentine's day! I made little cookies for her class! I helped give the party along with five other moms! We made a little treat bucket for them! I made the cookies, another mom got a few toys to stick in, one mom got heart balloons and another one made these cute little tags for them!
These were some big cookies I made for Gracie and Lillie's teachers and G's dance teachers and the sweet ladies at the gym that keep Lillie!
I let Gracie pick (okay I gave her choices:)) of what she wanted to do for her Valentine's this year! She chose to make crayon hearts! We did this when she was in 2K and she had remembered it and wanted to do it again!
Girls got pink and purple ones and boys got green and blue! My friend Carolyn made all the cute tags for the Valentine's and cookies!
This is one side of Gracie's classroom all set up for the Valentine's Day party!
The kids ready to eat their treats! (There are two more tables but I didn't get pics of them. Probably had something to do with running after Lillie!:)
My sweet Valentine!
Yummy icecream cone cupcakes Carolyn made! Lillie went with me and I helped set out all the food before the party! I let Lillie play in the room while we were doing it so she would sit in her stroller when the kids came in! I went around and started putting the fruit and chex mix on the plates! I turned around and looked at Lillie and she had a mouth full of food from one's child's plate and was heading to another to grab their food! All I could do was laugh! She looked at me like "I know I've been caught but this is so good I'm going to keep eating!" HA! I did get her a plate of her own beside sister....just in case she wanted to grab off of sissy's too!
This is fuzzy but I wanted to share! Gracie has twin boys in her class, Will and Rob! They are just the cutest little boys! They brought single red roses for all the girls! So, after snack time the teacher had them all sit on the carpet and the boys handed out the roses and posed with each little girl! Here is one of the twins (I can't tell them apart) giving G a rose! It was cute!
Gracie leaving her school with all her Valentine's and goodies!
All the kids Valentine bags, buckets and balloons lined up ready to go!
Once we got home we got to work on Daddy's card! Both girls enjoyed decorating it!
We had a romantic supper of heart pancakes eaten by candlelight! G was in heaven!
Gracie helped me make a heart shaped rice Krispie treat for dessert! Nothing could be better than sharing this special day than with my three loves! Daddy also brought all of us red roses home! He brought the girls baby roses and mommy a dozen red roses! A nice end to a fun day!
