Gracie had her first fundraiser at school! Instead of selling something (wrapping paper, cookies, etc.) the kids had to raise money for a fun run. It was really a neat idea. They promoted healthy habits while raising money for their school. On Friday August 24th they had there fun run! We got to go and watch and cheer them on. Basically you got sponsors to sponsor an amount of money ($1, $2, etc.) per lap your child runs and there was a lap cap of 35. To get the kids excited they had prizes leading up to the run that they could win depending on amount of money that was pledged. G really got excited about this but told us she was only running 10 laps-ha! She ended up running all 35! It was a small lap and I think it totaled a little over two miles when they were done. She had fun and we had fun cheering her on!;)
