My First Parade!!

Yesterday we took Gracie to her first parade! It was the VSU homecoming parade and we met up with our friends Staci, Audie and Kate. They had a ton going on on the front lawn of the campus. There was a band, blow up slides, bounce houses and tons of people. I think Gracie was in shock. She did great though. We had to get there early to get a spot and she sat in her stroller and ate her supper while we waited. Then when the parade started she wanted to get out to see better. She mainly stared with her mouth open.:) She got very excited when they threw candy and someone gave her a sucker. She held it up and was so proud. After the parade we went to the front lawn to watch her friend Kate do a few activities. Kate was a little scared of the bounce houses but Gracie was itching to get in. Unfortunately, there were tons of big kids and mommy and daddy vetoed that idea. She thinks she is 4 years old in an 18 month old body and can do everything the big kids do. I told her maybe next year!:) Gracie and her friend Kate!
Cheering with her red pompom!! (Do I sense a future cheerleader like her mommy!:))
Me and mommy! (She was wanting to get down so she wasn't to happy when I wanted a picture-hince her grabbing my shirt!:)

Watching the parade with her sucker in hand!

We had John McCain and Sarah Palin attend the parade! (This is very fuzzy but I thought this float was funny and very out of character with the rest of the floats. We were suprised there was no Obama floats but hey we were happy for the support of McCain!!!:)
