Starting Traditions!

When I was a little girl up until I left home my mom always had a tradition that I could open one present on Christmas Eve. This was something that I always looked forward to and it was always pajamas (which I still love to this day!:)). So, we decided to start that tradition for Gracie. So, on Christmas Eve after getting home from my parents we let her open up her present. The look on her face was priceless and well worth it!! Gracie brings such joy to our family and we thank God for her every day!!

We also started another tradition that I didn't do as a child but a friend of mine told me about it and I thought it was great. She said that her parents gave her and her sister an ornament every year and now that she is on her own she has enough ornaments to fill her tree plus some. She said she was going to do it for her daughter and I thought that was a special thing we could do for Gracie and she could cherish when she is older. So, back at the beginning of Dec. we let Gracie open her ornament. Can you guess what it was? Minnie Mouse of course! I thought I would try to pick something that related to her for that year and write what year it was on the ornament. Here are a few pictures from that night. She had just gotten out of the bath- hince the wet head!:)
