Family Beach Trip Part #1

A couple of weeks ago we went on a family beach trip to Amelia Island! It is one of our favorite places to go! We had been counting down the days and were so ready to go! It was a tough spring for us since daddy started his masters and just having to get use to him studying and going to class! It has been good but just very busy and he had to study all the time which was an adjustment! He got the month of May off so as soon as Gracie finished up school we were off! We stopped off in Valdosta for a few days because Daddy had a little work to do down there at the bank! It was also daddy's birthday so on Friday Nana and G baked daddy his favorite chocolate cake and we celebrated that night! On Sat. daddy and I headed down to Amelia by ourselves for a little one night getaway! This was the first time I had left Lillie and I was a little emotional~ HA! I wasn't worried that she would do well I was just worried about missing my little munchkin and of course my big girl too! We haven't left G either since Lillie has been born! They both did great and I think they wore Nana and Papa out...in a good way of course!:) We were able to get down there and unpack and grocery shop and have a date night! We both agreed we need to do it more often because the break was so nice! We went out to a fancy dinner and spent two hours there! Yes, it was wonderful! I didn't have to cut up any food, spoon feed anyone or swallow my food whole~ HA! We enjoyed brunch overlooking the ocean that next morning and layed by the pool most of the day! Papa brought the girls over to us the next afternoon and we had a fun family vacation after that! The girls did great and of course G was beside herself with excitement! She was ready to swim right when she got there! We ate a quick dinner (all of the above took place with dinner that we had missed the night before:)) and then off to swim! Lillie took it all in the first night but we got her in the next day! She wasn't a fan at first! She just wanted me to hold her the whole time in the pool and would whimper if I started to ease farther in the water! I think she knew how to play us! She would snuggle into me and get all comfy and relaxed like she was going to sleep so after a little while I would get out with her!:) She took alot of naps in her bouncy on the beach and G had fun swimming in the pool and hunting seashells, flying kites and digging in the sand on the beach! Neither girl was a fan on the ocean but that's okay! They enjoyed just playing on the beach! Here is the first part of our trip!
