Friendly Frog!

Last weekend was a big weekend for our little family! Gracie got to bring home her class mascot Friendly the Frog from school for the whole weekend! This is a big deal in the world of 4K kids when you get to finally bring home the class mascot! Gracie was beaming with excitement as soon as I picked her up and as we got in the car she already had a list of all the things she wanted to do with Friendly over the weekend! One very important one for her was to play outside on her swing set and push Friendly in her cozy car while Lillie rode in her car! Well, to Friendly and Gracie's disappointment it rained the ENTIRE weekend! No kidding! That was a little sad but have no fear...Friendly was one busy frog indoors and I think it's safe to say Gracie and Friendly had a blast! Gracie DID NOT want to take him back on Monday! I don't think I have seen my baby this upset! It really broke her heart and she cried off and on pretty much all day Monday and some of Tuesday! I felt so bad for her! Daddy did too and even wanted to get her one but I quickly reminded her and Daddy that she has a TON of stuffed animals and what makes Friendly so different and special is he only comes for a visit! He lives in her class and it's the thought of each child getting a special weekend with him that makes him so special! My sweet girl was brave and gave him back and still gets to visit him 6 days a week (Her Sunday School room is the same as her classroom during the week!:)). Our assignment with Friendly was to do fun things with him throughout the weekend and take pictures and then make a scrapbook page at the end for Gracie to share on Monday! Her teacher sent home the scrapbook of what other kids had already done with him and we all had fun looking through it and seeing what kind of adventures he had been on! He is one busy Frog!:) Here are our pictures we took! I took alot more than I could put on the page but wanted to share them all here! Enjoy!

Mrs. Melissa got to meet Friendly after school on Friday at lunch!

Gracie couldn't wait to play games with Friendly...
.....and show him all her toys! (By the way, she lined some of her toys up and then called me in there to take a picture! She is my child for sure!:)

Friendly supervised as Gracie made her snowman craft from Mrs. Amy!

Friendly wanted some chocolate chip cookies so G and I got busy in the kitchen!

Enjoying game night and eating cookies with daddy and Friendly!

Since it was raining Friendly got to check out G's Leappad!

Friendly and G also did some art work together!

Showing froggy outside and that we couldn't go out and play because of the yucky weather!

Getting out of the house Sat. night to get a sweet treat at La Berry! Froggy and G both enjoyed it!

Getting ready to sleep with Froggy in her froggy PJ's!

A little fun with sissy before bed!

On Sunday Froggy got to go with us to church and G's Sunday School class is in her 4K Frog class so Froggy felt right at home!

Later that day Froggy ran to Wal-mart with us to pick up his pictures and even enjoyed some of Gracie's slushy from Sonic! Then, it was off to our friend's Andrew and Annalyn's Snow Birthday party that night! It was a fun weekend Froggy! Thanks for coming to visit! We will miss you!
