Rain Rain Go Away!!

Well, we have had a rainy end of last week and weekend here. It has been great to wash away this pollen but not so great for the Cherry Blossom Festival. We had plans to do several things this week and weekend but were not able to do them because of the rain. :( Oh well, maybe next year! We did however get to go downtown last Tuesday with two new friends, Mrs. Christy and baby Gracie. (Yes, we found another Gracie!:) She is 9 months old and the cutest little thing. It does get confusing when talking about our girls so I often refer to my Gracie with her full name: Gracie Leigh. We headed downtown to take advantage of the free ice cream and balloons. Well, we ate lunch first at a little Italian restaurant because the line for the ice cream was unreal! It was no better after lunch so Miss Gracie Leigh and Miss Gracie did not get there ice cream. Then we headed to find the balloons only to find out they were all out! Gracie Leigh was disappointed (especially since I had already told her she was getting one- my mistake) but they gave her a pink pig keychain instead and she seemed pretty happy with that!:) On Sunday it cleared up and we took a ride to see all the cherry trees. I got a few pictures of the ones behind our house on Fickling Farms. It is beautiful because the streets are just lined up with them. They are the family responsible for planting all of them in Macon years ago. We also have three in our yard and daddy tried to get a picture of them too!

Gracie Leigh and baby Gracie playing at the children's museum downtown. (Thanks Christy for the pics- I didn't have my camera!)

Aren't they pretty!

That sounds like a fun day! This rain is crazy! Hopefully it will end soon, but at least the pollen is washed away! How is Craig's grass doing! Glad to see you are making friends! What does our Gracie think about another friend with her name?

The trees look pretty! Colorado has finally decided that we need snow right as my tulips are about to bloom. It's nice to see some signs of spring!
