Gracie Leigh started her first day of 2K today! She is going to a pre-school at the church we go to here! We went on Friday to meet her teachers, Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Jenny! She loved them and loved her little classroom. Her class is called the "bears" this year and her teachers gave her a little bear cookie on Friday which she loved! She talked about her teachers all weekend and was excited to go and see them at "school church".
We got a few pictures on the front porch before we left this morning (sorry for the lighting it was early). When we got to school church I was a little nervous about how she would do (just because it was a new room other than Sunday School). They let daddy and I walk her to her classroom. (They keep the children's area very secure and are very strict about getting in and out- so this will be the only day I can walk her directly to her classroom- unless I am a visitor.) She did great when we got to her door. Yesterday I took her to get cute apple cookies to take to her teachers so she was excited to give them to them so that helped. With a kiss and hug for mommy and daddy she was off! They have an observation window you can look in without them seeing you and she was very happy! When I picked her up she was excited to tell me about her morning. She said that she played outside, sang songs (and could even sing two of them for me), played with sticks in music, read stories and learned her ABC's (actually the letter A). It turned out to be a great first day for her and I know she will have a great school year!:)

Gracie is getting SO big! How many days a week will she go to school?
She will be going two days a week and it is only from 9-12. She was already going to a MMO one day a week so this is just adding one day! When do you start teaching?
Pooh, I am glad you had a good day at school!!! It will be fun to hear about all the new things you learn! Thanks for letting us come and play with you this weekend!

We start Friday and kids don't start until the 24th.
