Snacktime for Minnie...

The other day I was cooking in the kitchen and Gracie Leigh was playing over at her table. I had my back to her but could hear her talking and going back and forth into the playroom. After a few minutes she said "Mommy, Minnie is ready for her snack". I turned around to see my precious girl smiling proudly as Minnie was buckled in her booster seat, bib on and yummy treats set out in front of her! I had to laugh and grab my camera to capture the moment!!

Another sweet mommy moment...We went to fill up two shoeboxes the other day for Operation Christmas Child. Gracie's school is collecting them and asked each child to do some. I talked to G about this and she was excited. The whole way to the store I explained what we were doing and why and that this was not for HER but for a little boy and little girl that was not as fortunate as she was. I was a little worried because I know how 2 years old can be when they see toys. Well, G did wonderful! She was so excited and helped me pick out what the little girl and boy would like. We did the girl first and we picked out princess stuff, stickers, coloring book, bows, soap, toothbrush, etc. and she kept saying "I think the little girl will like this mommy" and would put it in the cart to help me. It just melted my heart. We left the store with our stuff and came home and she helped me pack the boxes. We even packed up some hard candy and she helped me put it all in the bags and didn't get one piece. (I know..mean mommy but I was wanting to stick to the point that this was about doing for others and not just about her...don't worry...she is not deprived at all!:)) It was just one of those mommy moments that I treasure more and more as my baby grows up!
