Lately Gracie has kept us laughing with her funny comments and things she comes up with to imagine and pretend to do. I should be writing everything down because they are so cute! Today I had to go to the eye dr. and her and daddy met me up there when I got done so he and I could pick out some new glasses. When we were at the counter this is how our conversation went:
G: Mommy, why do you and daddy need glasses?
Me: So that they can help us see better.
G: (excited face!) Oh, just like carrots do! (Big smile!:))
It was too cute and all the ladies at the counter laughed! We had just had a conversation the other night about carrots being good for you and are good for your eyes! She really was listening when we were talking~ha!:)
Something very sweet she said at lunch today:
G: Mommy, when is it going to be August?
Me: Well, tomorrow is the first day of August!
G: Well, when is MY sister going to be here...after church?
That just melted my heart! We have told her that Lillie will be here in August...well tomorrow starts the month of August and in her mind she should be here!:) She loves to talk about Lillie and is so excited for her to be here! We were talking about Lillie while she was in the bathtub tonight and she said no mommy that's my sister! I pray these two sisters will be the best of friends! I know G will be a wonderful and protective big sister and of course we all can't wait to meet her in a few weeks!

August may be a very long month for a sweet Gracie but I pray not! She does come up with the sweetest comments! I still remember her looking at me when I left on Monday morning and telling me about stoplights and making sure that I knew that red meant stop and green meant go! She is just too sweet!
