Easter Egg Hunt #2

This past Thursday my friend Amy had an egg hunt and picnic at her house! She worked hard at hiding all the eggs and setting up lots of fun toys for the kids to play with. There were about 13 kids total which was alot of fun! She put each child's name on 13 eggs and hid them in her front yard. The kids had to hunt for there name. It was more challenging and took longer then just grabbing for eggs. It was also very educational, which I love!:) Gracie enjoyed hunting for her name and for other peoples names too!:) After the egg hunt she had all the kids sit on blankets and she told the story of Jesus' resurrection using the resurrection eggs. The kids were very attentive (but it helped that they ate Easter cookies and some candy from there eggs while they listened!:)) Gracie really loved the eggs and understood alot of them. After she got done Gracie wanted to know what they could do next. Mrs. Amy suggested singing songs and asked Gracie for a song. Well, she wanted to sing Miss Pattycake. No one else knew that song so Gracie (being the shy child that she is..ha ha!) stood up and put on a show for everyone by singing her song. This is something I have never seen her do. She sings and talks all the time but to stand up and have all eyes on her spontanously was new for her. She was so cute! I wish I had had my video camera. We sang a few more songs and then we all had picnic lunches. It was a wonderful morning spent with friends and to celebrated our risen Savior!
