Swim Lessons!

Gracie took swim lessons again this year from Mrs. Julie, a lady who has been teaching for years and years! This was her third year taking from her and she loved it again this year! She has become a little fish in the water! We went swimming a few times before swim lessons this year and she was a little rusty and had forgotten some of her skills but two weeks with Mrs. Julie did wonders for her! She has gotten so much better at kicking her legs and doing her arm strokes! She had no problem jumping off the side of the pool or the diving board and swimming to the ladder all by herself! She can swim pretty far by herself and we are working on her coming up for a breath and then to keep going! We are so proud of her! Mrs. Julie doesn't let you go out and take pictures of them swimming so we had to work around the rules! A few moms went out and hid behind a tree to take pictures. One mom was nice enough to send me some since I was not able to do that. I had a little munchkin in my arms and was not able to slip out. Another mom sent me a video of her jumping off the diving board. It is far away but I will try and post it anyway so you can get an idea of what it looks like and how far she swam! I got a few pictures on the last day of Gracie getting her whale stamp. Mrs. Julie loves whales and everything is whales in her pool house. She gave the kids whale stamps each day depending on how well they did. For example if they jumped off by themselves they got two and if they jumped off and swam to the ladder they got three. It was just a little incentive for the kids! Lillie didn't take this year but we will probably be signing her up next year!:) Here are some pictures! Enjoy!
