Well, the big anticipated day arrived on Monday for my baby to head to Kindergarten! Oh how the time has flown by too quickly! We enrolled her in a public school right around the corner from our house this summer. We had heard wonderful things about the school, toured it and felt great about it. We strongly felt our baby needed all day school (instead of half day that our church offered) but it has been hard to let her go! She is just so ready and willing to learn and needs to be challenged and we also felt it was best to go ahead and get the jitters, nerves, newness out of the way before first grade! So, off we sent her on Monday morning! She was nervous (as we were too), she cried a little but did great walking into her classroom. Her concern was of being gone all day from home which we completely understood and we know that it is just going to take some time to get use too! She has loved it so far and not cried since then and has wanted to go back so I view that as a great sign!:) She has to wear a uniform everyday and at first I thought I wouldn't like it because if you know me I love clothes and to dress the girls up! Well, I think I'm going to love it. There colors are white, navy, khaki, light blue, PINK and yellow! Oh she was thrilled to know she could wear pink and we have several pink tops and dresses in the closet!:) Lillie and I miss her during the day and are ready to pick her up in the afternoons! We've only had a few minor gliches in figuring things out like carpool but know that all the newness will calm down soon and hope to get in a good routine. We took TONS of pictures on Monday and my baby was more than willing to smile and pose! Something happened when she put on her book bag and got her lunchbox and she thought she was something else!:) Here are some of the pictures before heading out to school!
Oh I could just eat her up!:)
Showing off her backpack!

She came in saying, "mommy I stuck out my tongue in some pictures!" She thought that was funny!:)
This little sign was at the end of her hallway!
Outside her classroom door!
Gracie and her sweet teacher Mrs. Johnston! She also has a para named Mrs. Anderson but my picture didn't turn out.
She wasn't quite sure what to think as we were leaving. They were getting ready to say the pledge!
Lillie was with us the whole time but we kept her in the stroller because it was so busy!

Can you even believe she's big enough for kindergarten? That picture of her outside (just her head) is GORGEOUS. She looks so much like you. Frame that! :) Enjoy your time home with one baby!
