4 Year Check-up!!

Gracie had her 4 year check-up this morning! I knew it was going to be a doozy when I called to make the appointment and they said they recommend that daddy come along if at all possible! I had heard that it was bad with four shots and a finger prick but how bad could it really be right? Just to be safe I did ask daddy to come along. We had our crew with Lillie in tow too! When we arrived daddy hadn't gotten there yet so I checked in. The sweet nurse said for me to bring Lillie up to her when it was time for the shots. I told her Craig was coming and I thought we could do it. She said to bring her up! My thought was okay....really I know it is going to be bad but y'all are freaking me out! HA!! Gracie was a champ though!! She is doing great and is very healthy and got a great report! She weighs 35 lbs. (50%) and 43 inches tall (100%).

She handled all of that well and even liked when Dr. Molly was in their examining her. Then the moment came for the nurse to come in and give her the shots. She was behind on one shot so they ended up giving her five total: two in one thigh, one in the other and two in the arm! They also had to prick her finger. I felt SO bad for my baby! I told her right before they were about to come in and she just busted out crying and saying she wanted to go home!! We told her to be tough for Lillie so she wouldn't be scared and in between cries she said she would try. So sweet!! She was sitting in Craig's lap in a death grip hold and I had to hold down her legs. The nurse worked fast and the funny thing was she was more worried about the silly band aids! She kept yelling she didn't want them! Big mistake!! The nurse insisted on her arms because they were bleeding so bad. By the time she was done we all had blood on us and it was even on the wall and floor! I was not a happy camper at all! No ones fault just frustrating! I would have dressed us all in old clothes and poor daddy was in his suit and tie. Needless to say we all went immediately home to change and take daddy's pants to the dry cleaners! It came out of G's shirt and I am working on mine! She was a trooper though and did much better than I thought! Of course, they all made a big deal when we were leaving and let her pick out five stickers for getting five shots and a sucker and they loved on her and made her feel special which was sweet! You may wonder what Lillie did this whole time. She was in her car seat just happy as can be until sissy started crying! I think that scared her and she started crying too....hence the sweet nurse offering to watch her. That never occured to me. Of well! All is well now and they are both napping like sweet angels!:)

We dyed Easter eggs last week and G had alot of fun with them!

Very intense putting on the stickers and glitter!:)

Poor Gracie. Try hydrogen peroxide on the clothes. Just pour a little on the blood stains and it should come right up even before you wash it.

I came home and sprayed dreft on her white shirt and used a florid pen we have and then bleached it. It came out thank goodness. For mine my mom suggested amonia and water and it took it right out too! Yay!! I will have to remember these tips for next time! Thanks!

The comment was from her Aunt T not Eric, although I'm sure he would say the same thing!
