This year Gracie wanted a Strawberry Shortcake party for her birthday! She knew this back in October so I have had lots of time to plan!:) Gracie gets it honest and loves to think ahead. I am just waiting for her to go ahead and tell me what she wants next year~ HA! I had tons of help planning her party from my friends Amy and Carolyn! They should definitely go into party planning because they are so good at it! They have awesome parties for their kids! We started her birthday celebration off early on Thursday at the Strawberry Patch. For her party we set up a "strawberry patch" where the kids could "pick" their own strawberries! It was TOO cute and I will have pictures up soon! So, we had to get strawberries from somewhere so what better place than the strawberry patch! Amy and I took our kids and put them to work! Well, I think Amy did most of the work! She was a machine at picking them. We picked a total of 4 buckets and Amy only took half a bucket home. I took home about 17 pounds of strawberries!! It was alot but I used everyone of them! After picking strawberries we all enjoyed some homemade strawberry ice cream and let the kids walk around and look at the animals on the farm! It was a fun start to a very fun and busy weekend! More to come from the birthday girl...:)
My team hard at work: Amy, Andrew, Gracie and Annalyn! (Annalyn mostly ate the strawberries that Amy picked but sure enjoyed herself!:))
The Birthday Girl!
She found a juicy strawberry!
So excited!
Sissy had to get in on the fun!:)
Andrew trying to get Lillie to look at the camera~ HA! It looks like he has her in a body hold but I promise he wasn't hurting her! He was actually my big helper! I put her in the baby Bjorn and got out there to pick strawberries and realized I couldn't keep bending down and standing up with her so I got the stroller. Andrew pushed the stroller for me while I picked strawberries and then he helped entertain her!
