Last night I had a special date night with Gracie to go see our local Nutcracker. It's been years since I've been and Gracie has never been. She was beyond excited to go. It was so refreshing to be with my big girl in the wake of yesterday's tragedy in CT. My heart is still so broken for the families who lost loved ones. Being a mom and having a child in Kindergarten it really hit home for me. Craig was home yesterday and told me about it but wouldn't tell me details. He told me to go get her early so we could just be with her. Oh how I love my precious babies and don't take them for granted. With all that I did look forward to having some girl fun last night. We went with our sweet friends Amy, Cailyn and Zoe. This was there first time too!! Oh the excitement in the car was just overflowing with three giddy little girls. After eating at our favorite spot CFA we headed downtown to The Grand Opera House. We got there early which was nice and surprised the girls with nutcracker ornaments for the occasion!;) Gracie was excited and said she felt very fancy!;) She did great but asked a million and one questions-bless her! I had to pull out the program some for help but still couldn't answer them all. The look on her face and the excitement she had were just wonderful memories I will cherish! We look forward to Lillie going with us next year! No worries though...she had a great date with her daddy too!;)

All ready to go!
