A couple of weeks ago I kept Gracie out of school one day so we could take care of some things for her! On the list was The Children's Hospital and her 5 year check-up. I wrote about this in her birthday post but she wanted to donate dolls to the Children's Hospital again like we had done for Lillie's 1st birthday. All her friends brought different kinds of dolls from fairy dolls, barbie dolls, baby dolls and we even had a boy "doll".:) I had talked to the lady in charge of donations and she had told me that we could come in and see where the children play in a little activity room. She had said if there were children in there that Gracie could pick a few dolls to give the kids. So off Gracie, Lillie and I went. The lady could not have been any sweeter and made Gracie feel so special. There were no kids in the activity room that early so she told us we could go visit a few in their rooms. We rode the elevator up and Gracie got to see the floor with some of the rooms. The first room we went to was a little girl who was seven. Gracie picked her favorite fairy doll to give to her. I waited at the door with Lillie while Gracie and the lady took the doll in. It was so sweet. Then we visited a two year olds room and Gracie picked out a baby doll that made noises for her. The little girl was happy but when Gracie handed her the doll she handed Gracie her coloring book she was playing with. Gracie didn't quite know what to think. They were both very sweet and it was a neat experience for Gracie. After doing that we headed to Gracie's 5 year check-up. She got a wonderful report! Since her four year check-up she has gained 5lbs. and grown 3 inches! Her dr. said she had to check it twice to make sure because that was alot! She weighs 40 lbs. and is in the 50% for weight and still in the 100% for height!:) Here are a few pictures from our girls morning!
Loaded down with all the dolls and ready to go take them in!
She carried two of her favorite dolls in with her!
